The Zhejiang Centre of European Research & Exchange paid an official visit to our Contact Point
One of the objectives of our centre is to strengthen our network in China so as to update the EU policies and initiatives to the Chinese enterprises in order to increase their investments in EU and enhance the cultural exchange between the two continents. Up to this moment, the Contact Point has seven network partners in China which are located in seven different cities, including Zhuhai, Gaungzhou, Zhaoqing, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Shenyang and Beijing. On 19 Jun, two representatives, Mr. Chen Tianyang and Mr. He Rui, from Zhejiang Centre of European Research & Exchange visited our centre. The institute was situated in the city centre of Hangzhou—a well-known tourist paradise in China and a dynamic and prosperous city. During the visit, we took the chance to introduce the Enterprise Europe Network and the services and activities that the Macao office had offered since its establishment as the Euro-Info Centre Relay Macau in 1992. The two guests had expressed their perspectives on the development of the growing interests between the EU and China and the increasing demand for information exchange between the two sides to encourage business cooperation and cultural harmonization. They also emphasized the growing concern for obtaining updated information of EU policies especially regarding the Chinese exports to EU. Any changes or amendments in the relevant policies would have a tremendous effect on the Chinese manufacturers and exporters. Therefore, the Zhejiang Centre of European Research & Exchange was starting to develop a stronger link with European institutes in HK and Macao to enhance information exchange and co-organize networking activities for Chinese and European enterprises and institutes. The meeting with Mr. Chen and Mr. He was constructive and helpful to our centre in developing our information network in China. We are looking forward to having future co-operation with them in Macao and China to enhance information exchange regarding the business environment and opportunities in Macao, Hangzhou and the EU; making Macao a platform for communication between the EU and China. |
