Participation in the 11th CHTF
2009-11-24

In order to promote our services to Chinese enterprises and develop a wider network in China, the Contact Point in Macau in collaboration with the Institute of European Studies of Macau joined the 2009 China Hi-Tech Fair by setting up a booth in the Macau Pavilion initiated by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM).

The 6-day event was held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center from 16th to 21st November to showcase the latest hi-tech products and achievements and provided a professional forum involving exceptional innovators. On the first day of the fair, Dr. Victor Kuan, Vice- President of CPTTM, Mr. Tou Veng Keong, Director of Bureau of Telecommunications Regulation, and other celebrities from Macao presided at the opening ceremony of the Macau Pavilion.

Famed as the “No. 1 Technology Show in China”, CHTF not only has exerted significant influence in domestic and international technologies and industry communities over the past decade, it also provided a platform for technology companies all over the world to showcase their achievements, exchange information, identify collaboration partners and explore business opportunities. Under the dramatic impact of the global financial crisis, the CHTF 2009 has made encouraging achievements in attracting international exhibitors and visitors through innovation measures.

China Hi-Tech Fair has, after 10 years of tempering, become one of the best commercial platforms for domestic and overseas IT industrialists to display products and perform technical exchanges. The CHTF integrates all the factors and parties necessary for utilization of hi-tech achievements. This year the fair was divided into 6 sections, namely Commercialization of Technological Innovations, Specialized Shows, Forums, Super-SUPER Special Events, Hi-Tech Human and Intellectual Resource Exchange, and the Year-Round Fair. It covered transactions, product shows, forums, business investment and cooperation which tried to draw together resources from governments, industries, colleges, capital and intermediates to facilitate domestic and foreign exhibitors and visitors to find projects, technologies, products, markets, capital and human resources.

More than 106 delegations, 3,000 exhibitors, 1,800 investors and 15,000 projects from 49 countries and regions attended the fair this year. The annual 6-day event attracted more than 500,000 visitors. CHTF 2010 will be held again in Shenzhen from 16th to 21st November 2010.
